CAD Drafting & 3D Rendering

Plots, rigging drawings and photoreal renders for bids, approvals and crews.

Drawings crews can build from

As 3D CAD Draftsman on Creed 3, Shazam 2: Fury of the Gods, Bad Boys for Life, Goosebumps 2, Coming 2 America and Ms. Marvel Season 1, Matt drew the plots that rigging and electric crews hung on stage. Examples are in the portfolio: the Creed 3 arena plot, the Goosebumps 2 Tesla Dome with its DMX universe layout, and the Bad Boys for Life Hidalgo Palace softbox.

All drafting is done in Vectorworks, the standard for entertainment lighting, and the same model goes straight into Capture for pre-visualization, so the plot, the previs and the show on site all match.

What we draw

  • Lighting plots with fixture types, positions and addressing
  • DMX and network universe layouts
  • Rigging plots, sections and elevations
  • Equipment lists and show paperwork
  • Photoreal 3D renderings for bids and client approvals

For bids and approvals

A render sells a design before money is spent on it. We produce photoreal views of the room so clients, producers and venues can approve the look, and rental houses can quote from an accurate equipment list.

Drafting as a standalone service

Need plots for a show you're designing yourself? We draft to your direction, on your timeline, and deliver files your crew and vendors can use.

Questions

What software do you draft in?

Vectorworks, with PDFs for crews and vendors and the model shared into Capture for previs.

Can you draft from a designer's sketch?

Yes. Send what you have, whether that's a sketch, a previous plot or a list, and we'll turn it into clean drawings.

Do you produce renders for bids?

Yes. Photoreal renders are one of the most common reasons clients hire us for drafting.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. Drafting and rendering are done off-site and delivered digitally.
