Lighting Programming

Console programming on grandMA2, grandMA3 and Hog for live events, broadcast and film. Busked, cued or timecoded, and organized so changes take seconds.

Programming that holds up on show day

A good programmer turns a designer's ideas into looks fast and keeps the show file organized so nothing falls apart the night before doors. We build structured show files with clear palettes, presets and naming, so notes in rehearsal get turned around in seconds and the show runs the same way every time.

Consoles we program

We program on grandMA2, grandMA3 and Hog consoles, so we can sit down at whichever desk your rental house, venue or tour already has and get to work without a learning curve.

Live events and broadcast

  • Cue-stack programming for general sessions, keynotes and award shows
  • Busking setups for concerts, walk-ins and breaks
  • Timecode-synced shows locked to playback
  • Integration with video, LED walls and media servers
  • Rehearsal and show-call operation

Film and television

As 1st Unit Lighting Programmer on Creed 3, Shazam 2: Fury of the Gods, Bad Boys for Life, Goosebumps 2, Coming 2 America and Ms. Marvel Season 1, Matt programmed set lighting, practicals and effects that had to repeat exactly take after take, and change instantly when the director of photography asked for it.

Pre-programming saves stage time

Most of a show can be built in Capture pre-visualization before load-in, connected to the same grandMA or Hog show file that goes to site. Stage time then goes to refining looks with the director instead of building them from scratch.
